Chef Profiles and dietary filters
Set up dietary filters
Section titled “Set up dietary filters”Go to your Chef Profile in the app. You can set allergies, dietary preferences (vegan, halal, gluten-free, and so on), and liked or disliked ingredients.
- Allergies, disliked ingredients, and diets that leave something out (vegan, vegetarian, halal, kosher, or anything “-free”) remove recipes whose ingredients, title, or a “Contains …” tag mention it from Quick Picks and plans.
- Other diets, such as keto, put recipes tagged for them first.
Shared and reused plans can contain meals chosen with a different profile. Review the warnings shown for your current profile. Household members’ private dietary preferences are not combined.
Where is Settings?
Section titled “Where is Settings?”Open the Profile tab (it shows your Chef Profile’s name), then tap the Settings gear in the top corner.
Do profiles sync across devices?
Section titled “Do profiles sync across devices?”Yes. Chef Profiles (allergies, dietary preferences, liked and disliked ingredients) sync via iCloud Key-Value Store when iCloud is enabled on your device. Your server address and connection settings sync too, so a new device can offer to reconnect; your API token and password never do.
