How We Approach Privacy
Our current products are built with these principles in mind. Each product's privacy policy has the specific details — this is just the general direction we aim for.
- Minimal collection — we try to collect only what a product needs to function, and we document what we collect in each product's policy.
- Local-first where possible — we prefer keeping data on your device. When network access is needed, the product policy explains why.
- Transparent crash reporting — where crash reporting is used, we strip personal data and user content before anything leaves your device.
Practices may evolve as we build new products. The individual product policies are always the authoritative source.
