Undo and checkpoints tools
Generated from the battlemap-mcp server at a020c64. Your assistant gets these same names, descriptions and parameters from the server when it connects; the server is named battlemap, so a client may show a tool as battlemap:ping or similar.
checkpoint
Mark the start of a request, so all of it can be undone in one call.
Call it before a multi-step change (a room, a set piece, a pass of lighting). rollback_checkpoint(label) then undoes every edit THIS session made since, newest first, and reports what it reversed. Reusing a label moves the mark to now.
| Parameter | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|
label required | string |
rollback_checkpoint
Undo every edit this session made since checkpoint(label), in one call.
Refuses and changes nothing when another session (a second chat, another assistant) edited after the mark, or when history, which keeps 1000 steps and 64 MB of terrain snapshots, no longer reaches it. Edits outside history, such as tool_action, water or a map resize, cannot be reversed; the reply lists them under not_reversible. Tell the user what was and was not undone. Edit replies carry checkpoint_warning as the mark nears the history limit: save_map then.
| Parameter | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|
label required | string |
list_checkpoints
Open checkpoints: label, whose, steps since, and whether rollback still reaches them.
No parameters.
undo
Reverse the LATEST undoable edit (create / delete / move / modify / terrain / cave).
The bridge keeps its own undo/redo stack of 1000 steps, independent of Dungeondraft's Ctrl+Z. A whole place_prefab, scatter_objects, build_room or move_elements call is one step, so one undo reverses all of it — provided nothing undoable has happened since. Undo always takes the newest step; it cannot target an older one.
No parameters.
redo
Re-apply the last edit reversed by undo().
No parameters.
